The overview
About Cambais Falls
Cambais Falls is a two-level waterfall tucked in the uplands of Barangay Guadalupe, Alegria, in southwestern Cebu. The lower level opens into a wide, milky-blue pool fed by water pouring gently down a limestone wall, with small caves and jumping rocks along its edges. A rope and bamboo ladder lead up to the second level, a smaller and less crowded pool that takes a more forceful cascade. The lower pool is the main draw for cliff jumping, with launch points at roughly 7 and 10 meters. The landing area is compact with limited depth, so visitors are expected to check their positioning with the caretakers before jumping. Canyoneering-style scrambling between rocks and behind the curtain of water is part of the appeal, and the falls stay noticeably less commercial than Kawasan Falls further north. Getting there involves a short jungle trek from the parking area, manageable in sandals in dry weather but slippery after rain. Caretakers at the site collect a small entrance fee and can point out the safer jump spots.
