The overview
About Tulang Diot Island
Tulang Diot, meaning "small Tulang," is an uninhabited islet a short boat ride from Tulang Dako, the larger of the two Tulang islands off the northwestern coast of Pacijan Island. Boats depart from Barangay Esperanza, crossing calm channel water in about five to ten minutes. The islet has a narrow stretch of white sand ringed by coral reef that stays close enough to shore for casual snorkeling straight off the beach. Because there are no resorts or permanent structures, the surrounding reef and marine life have stayed in better condition than at some of the more developed beaches, and the island is often cited as one of the better snorkeling spots in Camotes. There are no food stalls or shade structures beyond what visitors bring themselves, so a day trip here means packing supplies, though some visitors camp overnight with their own tents. The lack of development is the main draw: a quiet, mostly untouched sandbar and reef reachable within minutes of a populated island.
