The overview
About Dayhag Falls
Dayhag Falls is a multi-tiered waterfall in Sitio Ylaya, Barangay Upper Becerril, roughly a 30-45 minute habal-habal ride from Boljoon's poblacion. It sits along the wider Cebu Highlands Trail network in the town's uplands, discovered by locals in 2012 and developed with basic facilities by the local government from 2015 onward. A mountain stream cascades through several distinct levels, each dropping into its own catch pool suitable for swimming. The lower tiers are an easy short walk from the entrance, while reaching the higher levels involves more scrambling over wet rock and a longer, more demanding trail. Bamboo-and-nipa rest cottages sit near the falls, and local guides are available for visitors heading to the upper tiers. Compared to Cebu's better-known waterfalls, Dayhag remains lightly developed and uncrowded, with a low entrance fee covering basic upkeep.
