The overview
About Hidden Beach
Hidden Beach is a roughly one-kilometer stretch of white-sand shoreline on the southwestern coast of Aloguinsan, in barangay Bonbon. Dense coconut trees line the beach and provide natural shade along most of its length, while low cliffs and a quiet cove setting give it a secluded feel compared to more built-up beaches elsewhere in Cebu. The beach is developed as Hidden Beach Resort, a privately run property enclosed by bamboo fencing, with cottages, tents, and simple rooms for overnight stays. The water is calm and shallow near shore, suited to swimming and wading, and kayaks can be rented by the hour. Sunset views over the strait are a draw for visitors staying into the evening. Because it operates as a resort rather than an open public beach, access is through the property gate, and an entrance fee applies whether or not you plan to stay overnight. The turnoff point from the main road is locally known as "eskina Hidden Beach," after which a short motorcycle or tricycle ride covers the remaining distance to the shore.
