The overview
About Lusno Falls
Lusno Falls sits along a stream in Barangay Anajao, right where Ronda's territory meets the Argao border in the hills of south-central Cebu. Water spills over a rounded, almost sculpted sandstone shelf into a swimming pool below, a formation that reminds many visitors of the better-known Aguinid Falls in Samboan. Despite that resemblance, Lusno remains one of the least developed and least visited falls in the area, with no cottages or paved paths. The approach cuts through a working farming community: visitors park near a cluster of houses off a narrow gravel road and walk about five to ten minutes through cultivated land before the falls come into view. There are no signages along parts of the trail, so asking locals for directions is standard practice. The swimming pool at the base is deep enough for a dip, and local kids sometimes jump from the rocks, though the water isn't always clear enough to judge depth safely from above. The setting is quiet, shaded, and largely undisturbed by commercial development.
What makes it worth it
Highlights
- Rounded sandstone cascade
- Natural swimming pool
- Undeveloped, uncommercialized setting
- Resembles Aguinid Falls in Samboan
- Short farmland walking approach
- Quiet, rarely crowded
- 1 Wear aqua shoes or go barefoot for grip on the slick sandstone. Skip cliff jumping since the water clarity doesn't reliably show depth or hazards below. Bring small bills for the entrance fee collected locally, and ask around for the current trail directions since signage is sparse. Location approximate — confirm on arrival.

How to get there
From Cebu City South Bus Terminal, take a bus toward Ronda or Argao (2.5-3.5 hours). Get off near the Anajao barangay hall turnoff and hire a habal-habal for the final stretch, or continue to Ronda town proper and arrange a habal-habal from there (30-45 minutes). From the parking area, it's a 5-10 minute walk through farmland to the falls.
