Museo de Talisay is the city's local heritage museum, housed in the Gabaldon Building of Talisay City Central Elementary School on Jose Rizal Street in Barangay Poblacion. It was established through a partnership between the city government and the Department of Education during the mayoralty of Eduardo Gullas, repurposing the century-old wooden schoolhouse as its home. The museum is organized into roughly ten sections covering Talisay's agricultural past, its wartime history (including material tied to the WWII Liberation landing), old photographs from the American colonial period, and archival manuscripts and newspapers documenting the city's shift from a farming town to a component city of Metro Cebu. It functions as a small but earnest repository of local memory and is especially active during Cebu's annual 'Gabii sa Kabilin' (Night of Heritage) museum crawl, when it opens for extended evening hours alongside other Cebu heritage sites.
