About Q Park

Q Park is a sprawling 200-hectare private park in Compostela, developed by Norberto Quisumbing Jr. in partnership with the Norkis Group as a combined religious retreat and memorial ground. It straddles Barangay Buluang near the Danao City boundary, and its scale makes it one of the larger privately developed open spaces in northern Cebu. The park's best-known feature is Heroes' Hill, a roughly one-hectare memorial honoring unknown soldiers, overseas Filipino workers, and Filipino Foundation awardees from 1986 to 2003, marked by a kiosk displaying portraits of Filipino statesmen and presidents. Q Park also carries a Stations of the Cross route leading up to a Calvary Hill with three crosses, and a tall Marian statue set on a rise overlooking the grounds, along with a nativity cave, fish ponds, and landscaped gardens. The grounds draw the largest crowds during Lent, when pilgrims walk the Stations of the Cross, and Holy Mass is celebrated on site during Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. Heroes' Hill itself is generally accessed by invitation or advance request rather than open walk-in visits.
