About Ibabao Mandaue Agri-Eco Park

The Ibabao Mandaue Agri-Eco Park, formally the Mandaue City Agri-Eco Park and Technology Demonstration Farm, is a 3.6-hectare urban farm run by the city's Agriculture Office in Barangay Ibabao-Estancia. Developed on a formerly idle lot starting in 2017 and opened to the public that December, it was built to demonstrate urban and organic farming methods to residents and school groups. The park features a greenhouse for organic vegetable growing, container gardens, an "edible landscaping" area mixing ornamental and food plants, native huts and benches for resting, and a fish pond stocked with tilapia that visitors can fish for a small fee once the stock matures. A basketball court on the grounds serves the surrounding community as well. It draws mostly local visitors, school field trips, and residents looking for a green space in an otherwise dense urban barangay, offering a quiet, low-key contrast to Mandaue's malls and industrial areas nearby.
