The overview
About Mangodlong Beach & Rock
Mangodlong is a cluster of karst rock formations rising at the end of a wide stretch of white sand on the southwestern coast of Pacijan Island, in Barangay Himensulan. A natural sandbar connects the rocky islets to the beach, making it possible to walk out to them at low tide and climb over the weathered limestone. The beach fronts Mangodlong Rock Resort, a small property built around the formation with a coconut-shaded garden, a swimming pool, and a beachfront café. The cove in front of the rocks is a popular snorkeling spot, sheltered enough for calmer water than the open beaches nearby, and a dive operator based at the resort runs trips for certified divers. The combination of dramatic rock formations, a walkable sandbar, and decent snorkeling makes Mangodlong one of the more distinctive beach stops on the island, different in character from the flatter, wide-open sand of Santiago Bay.
