About Tongo Marine Sanctuary

Tongo Marine Sanctuary is one of the top three dive sites in the Moalboal area, featuring stunning coral formations in a well-protected marine environment. The sanctuary offers exceptional biodiversity with great variety of reef fish, triggerfish, nudibranchs, frogfish, scorpionfish, and both hawksbill and green sea turtles. The dive site features beautiful hard and soft coral gardens, with healthy reef systems that have thrived due to the sanctuary's protected status. Schools of batfish and sweetlips are commonly seen cruising along the reef. Tongo is particularly known for its macro life, making it a favorite among underwater photographers looking for nudibranchs and other small creatures.
