Nug-as Forest Reserve Birdwatching

Nug-as Forest Reserve is the largest remaining forest patch in Cebu, sheltering endemic birds such as the Siloy (Black Shama), Cebu Flowerpecker and Cebu Hawk-Owl. Local forest wardens from the KMLYB farmer community greet and guide visitors through the reserve, about four kilometers from Alcoy town center.

Getting to Alcoy

Take a bus heading for Oslob, Bato or Santander and ask to be dropped at Alcoy town proper or Tingko Beach, which is visible from the highway.
