The overview
About Agtugop Spring
Agtugop Spring is a natural cold spring in the mountain barangay of Agtugop, in northwestern Asturias, where clear, cold water rises straight from the mountainside into a swimming pool near the local elementary school. It stays notably less crowded than Cebu's more famous cold springs, making it a good pick for travelers wanting a quiet, low-key dip. The pool is deep enough for jumping in from the surrounding rocks, and locals and visitors alike use it to cool off, especially during the dry summer months. There is no entrance fee, and inner tubes can be rented cheaply on site for floating around the pool. The road up is only partly paved, so the trip itself, winding through Asturias' hill country, is part of the appeal. Many visitors combine it with a stop at Buswang Lake on the way back down to the highway.
