About Badian Highlands

Badian Highlands is a roadside view deck along the Badian-Dalaguete Road, sitting roughly 1,640 feet above sea level in the upland barangay of Talayong. It opened to the public in July 2020 and quickly drew attention as a new lookout point in southern Cebu, offering panoramic views of Badian Island, Badian Bay, the Tanon Strait, and Mount Kanlaon across the water in Negros Oriental. The site sits within a designated "no build zone," so the highlands remain undeveloped rolling grassland and ridge rather than a commercial park — there are no permanent structures crowding the view. Visitors walk, jog, bike, or simply sit along the ridge to take in the scenery, and the elevation makes it noticeably cooler than the coastal towns below. Most visitors combine a stop here with a Kawasan Falls or canyoneering trip since it sits along the same general route inland from Badian's coastal barangays. Sunrise and sunset are popular for the light over the strait, and on clear nights the ridge is used informally for stargazing away from town lights.

What makes it worth it
