About Crocolandia

Crocolandia is a wildlife conservation park in Barangay Biasong, run by the Crocolandia Foundation Inc. since its founding in 2001 as one of the first nature conservation centers in Central Visayas. It was set up to protect and breed species threatened with extinction, most notably the Philippine crocodile and the sailfin lizard, alongside more common saltwater crocodiles. The park's best-known resident is Lapu-Lapu, a large estuarine crocodile, but the grounds also house monitor lizards, snakes, turtles, civets, deer, a Visayan warty pig, hornbills, mynas, peacocks, and a water buffalo. Beyond the animal enclosures, the property includes a small museum, a library, gardens, and fishponds, making it a modest but varied stop for a family outing. It draws mostly local visitors and school groups rather than large tour crowds, giving it a low-key, small-zoo feel rather than a polished commercial attraction.
