The overview

About Tumalog Falls

Tumalog Falls, also known as Toslob Falls, is one of the most visually stunning waterfalls in Cebu. Located in Barangay Luka, just a few kilometers from the whale shark watching area, it offers a refreshing retreat after swimming with the butanding. What makes Tumalog unique is its curtain-like cascade - water flows down a wide, amphitheater-shaped moss-covered cliff approximately 100 meters high, creating a thin, ethereal veil of water rather than a powerful single stream. The effect is almost dreamlike, especially in the early morning when sunlight filters through the surrounding jungle canopy. At the base, a shallow turquoise pool invites visitors to wade in and feel the gentle spray of the falls. The cool, clear water provides a refreshing escape from the tropical heat. The falls are surrounded by lush vegetation and steep limestone cliffs, creating a natural cathedral atmosphere that feels worlds away from the busy whale shark crowds.
