Pescador Island

About Pescador Island
Pescador Island is a tiny limestone island located in the Tañon Strait, about 4 kilometers off the coast of Moalboal. Despite its small size, it's considered one of the best dive sites in the Philippines and has been a marine protected area since 1990. The island's underwater terrain features dramatic walls that drop from 5 meters to over 40 meters, covered in vibrant soft and hard corals. The most famous dive site here is 'The Cathedral' - a massive underwater cavern with multiple entry points that creates an ethereal, cathedral-like atmosphere when sunlight streams through. Pescador Island is home to an incredible diversity of marine life including schools of barracuda, jacks, and batfish, as well as nudibranchs, frogfish, and occasional white-tip reef sharks. The island itself is uninhabited and cannot be landed on, but boats circle it for snorkeling and diving.
